K (h) ELP represents a project deeply rooted in ecofeminist principles, advocating for the rights of both women and the environment.
The project introduces armors crafted from Pacific kelp algae, adorned by both a black and a white woman, prominently showcased across different scenes. This imagery is purposefully curated to rekindle the symbolic connection between the human body and the vast universe.
By fostering a revitalized relationship with nature, K (h) ELP prompts contemplation on the evolving role of women in amplifying collective awareness surrounding social and environmental justice issues. The project serves as a visual and conceptual exploration, inviting viewers to reflect on the intersectionality of gender and environmental concerns in our ever-changing world.
